Abstract

Morgagni diaphragmatic hernia is a rare congenital malformation, characterized by a defect in the diaphragm, allowing the abdominal viscera to penetrate the thorax. This case report illustrates a 17-year-old boy who was diagnosed with Morgagni diaphragmatic hernia after an initial evaluation suggesting pneumonia. The presentation emphasizes the importance of a detailed clinical history, the use of imaging studies, and a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and manage Morgagni diaphragmatic hernia, especially in late presentations.
