It was developed an analytic transversal study of the patients with acute myocardial infarct entering the Intensive Care Unit of the Military Hospital Mario Muñoz Monroy during the period 2005-2007, with the main objective of describing lethality behavior of Acute Myocardial Infarct in these patients and its relation with the most frequent risk facts, and determining thrombolysis usage and efficacy and presented complications. The most affected sex was the male sex with 74.6 % (53). The highest infarct incidence was in patients with ages between 59-68 years old (32.33 %). The most frequent risk fact was arterial hypertension with 70.4 %, but the antecedent of ischemic heart disease was the fact that showed a significant statistical difference. There were 45 patients with complications, representing a 63.4 %. 31 patients were thrombolysed, representing the 48.4 %; 22.5 % of them died. Studying the evolution of the patients with infarct is still a valuable weapon to improve medical quality.
