Abstract

The objective of the current work is evaluating the Control Program of Aedes aegypti Eradication and Aedes aegypti´s behavior in the province of Matanzas in the period 2004-2008. During this period there were reported 747 introductions of Aedes aegypti in the province, 91.4 % by the System of Larvatrap Entomologic Surveillance, the highest percent (36.8 %) in the Risk Zones. Aedes aegypti´s focalization was concentrated in 80.8% of the municipalities of Matanzas, Jagüey Grande, Calimete, Varadero and Jovellanos; the higher percent was reported in 2006.
