Abstract

An observant and explicatory study took place in a group of selected patients through systematic samples and a battery of questionnaires was applied to them in order to identify the problematic drinkers (PD).Two homogeneous groups were arranged with 30 workers each ,to establish comparisons between the alcoholics with problems and the controls. In the PD group,73.3% fluctuated between 30 and 49 years old and 56,7% had ended their high school level.
More than 90% of the studied patients began the alcohol ingestion before the age of 19years old.
Predication affectations were evidenced in addition to a remarkable increment of absences and work accidents within the problematic drinkers.
