Joseph Jules François Felix Babinski , born on November 17, 1857, was one of the relevant French neurologists who made of the Salpetriere Hospital, in Paris, a world paradigm of the neurosciences at the end of the XIX century and the begginings of the XX. He made important discovering in that field, being his work among the most prestigious of those times. Even today his constributions are still necesary tools for the integral assesment of the patient with neurologic ailments.
