Lepromatous leprosy: case report
Keywords:
leprosy, lepromatous leprosy, clinical evolutionAbstract
The leprosy is a transmissible chronic disease so old like the humankind itself. The World Health Organization has developed a program oriented to the prevention, on-time diagnostic and adequate treatment of the disease. We made a bibliographic review, and presented the clinical case of a patient, aged 58 years old, diagnosed with lepromatous leprosy, nodular variety, being the first patient reported in 2011. We also added some notes on the historical evolution of the leprosy around the world and in Cuba.Downloads
