Abstract

A review is a carried out about the initiation of ethics and later on about medical ethics,following the medicine from the pre-technique period; how does a better organization is being conformed from thoce dedicated to the profession inclusive with a behavior suggested in the Hippocratic outh,professional ethics paradigm. Since that time, the paternalist model of physician-patient relation is explained and arrived till the present days. The extraordinary development of medicine in the last 50 years made it to meditate about the need to deepen into the ethics performance and this is how Bioethics emerges as a new discipline during the second half of the past century. Evidently, the dilemma that shows up, currently,in medical practice is greater and more difficult and in addition,more virtuous physicians who should dedicate themselves to humanize the medical career are indeed needed. With these premises the presence of life quality conception in medicine is reviewed.It is emphatized the importance of an adequate consideration of its significance and application,differentiating the utilitarian criterian and the personalistis.
