Estromal Tumor of the Gastrointestinal Tract. Presentation of a case.

The following case report is about a white, male patient of 68 years old, that presented a clinical manifestation given marked dejected and sleepiness of 6 months of evolution correlated to the presence of iron deficiency anemia and upper gastrointestinal bleeding to repetition, with the posterior appearing of an abdominal palpable mass in left hypochondrium and aggravation of the general condition of the patient. This clinical manifestation induced to discuss the presence of a Gastric Leiomyosarcoma like presumptive diagnostic without discarding the existence of a gastrointestinal stromal cell tumors (GIST), for which one it was necessary to accomplish immunohistochemistry study for after confirmed the diagnosis.Downloads
